Lena apartments is probably among the most conveniently placed apartments in Kassiopi village. It is only about 150 steps from Kalamionas Beach (the closest beach, but not the only beach within easy walking distance) and it is about 150 steps to the central square of Kassiopi, The Heroes of the Polytechnic Square. This is a real hub, which is also where you will find the closest ‘gyros’ bar for take-aways and eat-ins; there is a very well-stocked supermarket, bars and restaurants and the local ‘kafenion’, for those hard-core travellers who would like to experience the original Greek café. There are three apartments in all. Each has two bedrooms, a kitchen-diner and an open-plan lounge and bathroom. The apartments are spacious and very tastefully decorated in a modern style; they are impeccably clean and thoughtfully looked after. The kitchens are well-equipped where you can put your culinary prowess to use or enjoy simple meals: fresh bread from the local baker dipped in olive oil, seasoned with oregano and accompanied by feta cheese and ripe-red tomatoes. There is a veranda for alfresco moments and chilling with a cool drink and the nearby song of the cicadas.
